Hour 4
9-11-01
My
day started off pretty normal. I got up
and headed for school, and when I got there none of my friends had heard about
it yet either. After walking around for
about 15 minutes with my friends I had decided to head to my first our class,
which was biology. I got in there and
took my seat and I had noticed it was fairly quiet. I looked up and saw a building on fire on the television. Then our teacher had told us all that a
plane had hit the building. The news
program said the plane had hit the building at about 8:45 and that got me
confused because our clock in our room had said 8:10. After at least a couple minutes of thinking I had realized that
they were in a different time zone then us.
As we were watching the tv the second plane had made a loop and hit the
second building. Our whole class
watched in disbelief as they kept on showing the plane hit the building. Then our teacher decided that was enough
and turned of the tv.
Throughout
the day our teachers just kept us updated by puting the tv on for five minutes
or so. My math teacher was the only one
who did not have the tv on. I think he
would have just rather try and keep it off of his mind by doing work. That actually helped me, but it was still
hard for me to stay on task. Nobody
that I remember really talked about how they felt that day, but the day after
it had happened most everybody I know said something about how they felt. That whole day the tragedy I felt kind of
lost and wondering what this world is coming to? I never thought that anything like that would ever happen in my
lifetime.
I
never really was affected by the day of 9-11-01 until a couple days later. I was just kind of thinking if we were going
to go to war or not. I never want us to
have any more wars. I want justice but
not in that kind of manner. I just
don't understand why the terrerist would want to kill thousands of inocent people?
