 Dave E.

3rd hr.

The day started as any other.  My first hour, we had no idea that any thing had happened.  On my way to Woods class I heard a little bit here and there I thought it was a new movie or something.

When I got to my second hour I went straight to work.  About half way through the hour a teacher came in and talked to Mr. Neises for a while;  then Neises came in and told us what had happened,  we turned the TV the CNN and watched most of the hour.  Those

damn freshmen made jokes about what had happened,  they were dumb I knew that this

was big.  It was going to affect me somehow:  I knew how, too.  I am going to join the USMC --  I knew I would be involved in some way.  Over the intercom,  Mr.  Saxton told us to watch a special edition of SFHS Today!.  They only told us what we already knew.

Then I went to Mr. Hatten’s class.  We watched a little;  nothing new had happened.  He told us about the panic and what was going threw his head as all of this was going on.

Most of fourth hour Mr.  Kluegel told us every thing that would probably happen.

He said that the gas prices would sky rocket,  because of a mass panic.  He also said that

we would probably try to strike back, and that the story had just begun.   He said there

would be anti war protests, and heightened security.

When I got to work that night,  I noticed that there were cars wrapped around the block trying to get gas before the price went up.  When I got off I looked at my gas gauge

and my needle was hovering just above “E”  so my girlfriend,  a friend of mine,  and myself went and waited in line for 45  minutes just to get gas.
