Beep, beep, beep, my alarm clock goes off at exactly the same time everyday, 5:30.  I wake up and go through my usual routine.  Dreading going to school, I get into my car to pick up my friends.  I pull into the student parking lot and make my way into school.  I sit at my locker and talk to my friends about what happened the night before.  Walking into first hour,  Chem.  Com, I sit down in my seat and wait for class to start.  Listening to Mr. Kelly talk about protons and neutrons for and hour can make anyone fall asleep, especially that early in the morning.  The bell rings to let class out and I’m happy about that class being over with for the day.

Going back to the locker commons my friend Chrystie comes up to me talking about how some buildings in New York were on fire.  I was just kind of like “who cares, weird stuff like that happens all the time?”  I walk into my second hour, Algebra 2; the television is on with this image of the World Trade Center buildings on fire.  We watched it for a little while and then got back to doing Algebra.  During our work time he turned the television back on again.  I watched the towers crumble into the ground.  They kept showing a plane hitting the side of it with a big explosion.  Throughout the day it went pretty much the same way, we would watch it for a while then go back to class and watch a little more.  The mood in school seemed strangely different that day too.

That’s all you heard: people talking about in the halls or in class. It is kind of unbelievable that some like this could happen.  The way the reporters where talking about it, it seemed really bad.  I finally make it home and I turn on the TV just about every channel was images of this plane just melting in to the side of the building.  People were running everywhere I can’t even imagine what it would be like to be in New York at the time or even worse in the buildings.  I was scared about what could happen next.  I sat with my family watching the news all night and finally fell asleep.

What happened on September 11th, 2001, I will never forget along with pretty much every other American.  It is a sad and scary thing to see or even go through.  This event I feel has not only changed history but also people.  All I hope is that something good will come out of this, and that who ever is responsible gets the punishment that they deserve.
